The full speaking line-up for a motivational business seminar called ‘In The Arena’ has been revealed. Olympic medalist Kriss Akabusi MBE brings this daylong event to Putteridge Bury, Luton on October 1st of this year.
In The Arena is a 100% charitable event with every penny taken being put back into helping with the training the young unemployed from Bedfordshire and the community at large. The charity, ITANG (In The Arena – Next Generation) was founded by Kriss Akabusi and the Akabusi Charitable trust and nurtures young NEET’s from the area and beyond back into the world of work through charity run training seminars and work placements.
This year In The Arena organisers VirtuBrands, who have partnered up with the University of Bedfordshire, are offering students and new entrepreneurs discounted tickets in a bid to spark and encourage the regions stars of the future take a step into the spotlight.
Speaking of the importance of nurturing our young business community, Akabusi said – “It’s time for British business to stimulate the economic revival by showering the environment with positivity.”
Event organisers VirtuBrands also announced that attendees will have the chance for some up close and personal time with Mr. Akabusi himself as he will be hosting an afternoon workshop entitled “Up turn in the economy, why would anyone be lead by you?”
After keeping the lineup secret since the event was initially announced back in May, today the In The Arena organisers have revealed who will be joining the Olympian on the stage to talk business.
First up is keynote speaker, Steve Head. After 20+ years experience as a top sports coach and is currently one of the most sought after performance coaches in the UK. He is also coach the England Wheelchair Rugby league team. Known by his clients as a “dynamic speaker with practical ideas that simply work”, Steve has 16 years experience in the field of business management, people leadership and product marketing and training.
Next in the arena they have Katie Hart, owner of Rhetonic Ltd. Katie brings Psychology into the workplace through innovative applications in the fields of Marketing and Training. The entrepreneur is highly praised among the business community. Joining Katie and Steve will also be Angela Muir, Head of the Alliance Collaboration Team (between Ashridge and Hult International Business School). Angela is a business & behavioral psychologist and an experienced keynote speaker.
Closing the day will be truly special presentation from Mark Colbourne MBE, a former Team GB Paralympic-cyclist champion who competed in London 2012 winning Gold and Silver. Mark now spends his time as an international motivational speaker, sharing his incredible story to success after suffering a life changing injury in 2009.
Playing host for the day is the regions well-known drive time DJ, BBC 3 Counties Radio presenter Roberto Perrone.
